What types of therapy do you offer?
We incorporate a range of therapeutic approaches including person-centred therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and psychodynamic methods. This integrative approach allows us to tailor our services to the unique needs of each client.
What can I expect from my first session?
I know that stepping through the door for the first time can feel scary. Your first session will involve an initial consultation where we discuss your needs, goals, and the approach we will take together. Sometimes you may not know what your goals are, and that's OK! We can figure it out as we work together.
It also gives you a chance to ask questions and get to know me a bit too. This helps create a comfortable and safe space for you.

What is CBT?
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a solution focused form of therapy that supports you to understand how your thoughts, emotions and behaviours influence one another. Together, we explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck and develop new, healthier ways of responding. CBT offers clear tools and techniques you can use in everyday life, helping you build confidence, reduce distress and move towards positive change. This can be particularly helpful when used for depression, anxiety and PTSD.
What is Person Centred Therapy?
This form of therapy is non-directive, with the counsellor acting as a facilitator, exploring feelings, issues and behaviours that arise. This is a gentle, collaborative approach that places you at the heart of the process. Rather than giving advice or directing you, your counsellor offers a safe, accepting space where you can explore whatever feels important. Through empathy, genuine connection and non‑judgement, this approach helps you understand yourself more fully, build self‑trust and move towards positive change in a way that feels right for you.
What is Psychodynamic Therapy?
Psychodynamic therapy explores how your early experiences, relationships and deeper emotional patterns influence your life today. By gently uncovering what sits beneath the surface, this approach helps you understand recurring feelings or behaviours, make sense of inner conflicts, and develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others. It offers a thoughtful, insight‑focused space where long‑standing issues can be worked through at a meaningful depth.
